How we handle your data
Your Privacy
Plain language. No small print.
The Short Version
We only use what you type — nothing else.
When you send a message to the concierge, we use it to find you a restaurant. That is the only reason we collect it. We don't ask for your name, your email, or any personal information. We don't track you across sessions, and we don't build a profile about you.
Your message is automatically deleted after 90 days.
What happens when you send a message
Step by Step
- 1We read your message using Anthropic's Claude to extract what you're looking for — neighbourhood, cuisine, occasion, mood, group size.
- 2We search our database of curated Paris restaurants. If we find a good match, Mistral AI composes a personalised reply and we recommend it to you.
- 3If we don't have a match, we run an anonymous web search on trusted food editorial sites to find new suggestions. The search query is a generalised version of your request — not your exact words.
- 4Your message is stored for 90 days so we can improve the service, then it is permanently deleted. It is never sold or shared for marketing purposes.
Who processes your data
Three Partners — All with a Clear Role
To deliver the concierge, your message passes through three trusted services. Here's what each one does with it.
We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not sell it. We do not share it with advertisers.
Your Rights
You're in Control
Under GDPR you have the right to know what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it — and we'll respond within 30 days.
- 👁Access — ask us to show you the messages you sent and how they were used.
- ✏️Correction — ask us to correct any inaccurate information linked to your request.
- 🗑Deletion — ask us to delete your data before the 90-day period is up.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@latablevoisine.fr with a brief description of your request and the approximate date you sent your message.
The Legal Basis
Why We're Allowed to Do This
We process your message on the basis of legitimate interest (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) — you send us a message specifically to receive a restaurant recommendation, and processing that message is the only way we can provide the service. We collect the minimum data needed, retain it for the minimum time needed, and do not use it for any secondary purpose.
The service is operated by La Table Voisine. For any privacy questions, contact us at contact@latablevoisine.fr.
